The opportunity to work in industry/a pharmaceutical company, which is very different from my academia background, attracted me to ROHTO. Also, the wonderful Japanese culture made me determined to move to Japan.

I am in Cell Technology Development Group, in the Regenerative Division. Previously, I was working in the Beauty Research Group in the Basic Research and Development Division.

I hope to work with those who are open-minded and passionate about their work. It is very exciting when a team mate knows what they want to achieve, but can also receive and accept new ideas.

It was when I realized there are so many things other than basic research I can learn in ROHTO, and there so many different divisions I can talk to and collaborate with. Also, when I realized the responsibility to grow my career is mainly mine and no one else’s, I gained the motivation to work hard and achieve self-growth every day.

I want to advance the cell therapy products of my division, and to promote globalization in ROHTO.

I am quite casual compared to the rest of the employees, so I am usually in a shirt/ladies blouse and jeans. When I am meeting customers or collaborators, I will wear more formal clothes like a jackets and dress pants.

I work at ROHTO Research Village Kyoto.

Probably the open area next to the cafeteria, because it has an amazing view of the garden and is very spacious. I sometimes work there because it is very a calming ad quiet environment. Excited to talk more after you join ROHTO!
