incorporated to create "Hyaluronic Acid Mist UV," a new product from SKIN AQUA that combines astonishing lightness with the highest standards of sun protection.

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) will launch a new product, "Hyaluronic Acid Mist UV *1," from its flagship sunscreen brand "SKIN AQUA." This mist-type sunscreen meets the highest standards of sunscreen function *2, while also providing easy UV protection and being convenient for reapplication. Based on our many years of research into hyaluronic acid, we have adopted lactic acid fermented hyaluronic acid *3 to achieve both a pleasant feel and moisturizing effects on the skin.
Starting February 5, 2024 (Monday), the product will be available for pre-sale at select Aeon, Welcia Group, Don Quijote stores, Amazon, Rakuten 24, and LOHACO, with sales beginning sequentially *4. It will then be available nationwide at drugstores, variety stores, etc. from April 20 (Saturday).

Based on years of research into hyaluronic acid, we have carefully selected moisturizing ingredients suitable for sunscreen.
Our company's research areas include gastrointestinal medicines, eye drops, skincare, and more recently, Regenerative medicine. Hyaluronic acid is abundant in the vitreous humor of the eye, making it a key ingredient in our eye care research. We have also been conducting research to apply it to the skin and have incorporated it into our skincare products. In developing sunscreen products, we have carefully selected the optimal type of hyaluronic acid (moisturizing ingredient) to ensure compatibility with the formulation, ease of use, and improved skincare functionality.
Background of the release
In a survey of customers who use mist-type sunscreens, we found that approximately 60% of people prioritize "ease of use" when choosing a sunscreen. *5 Amidst growing awareness of year-round UV protection, we pursued not only sunscreen effectiveness and skincare functions, but also the ease of use that can only be achieved with a mist formulation, and after considering ease of use from every perspective, including the convenience of reapplication, "Hyaluron Mist UV" was born.
