The fragrance, which contains lactones, a sweet scent like peach and coconut that decreases with age, has been newly formulated with an increased number of lactone components from one to three. The series has been revamped to address scalp odor and greasiness and bring out the natural beauty of hair. It will be available from March 16th (Saturday) at drugstores, variety stores, e-commerce sites, Rohto mail order, etc. nationwide.

The "DEOCO" brand was born from research into fragrance components unique to young women.
Our company discovered that lactone, a fragrance component that emits a "sweet scent" in women's body odor, decreases with age. DEOCO, launched in 2018, is a brand that applied this research finding, starting with the body wash "DEOCO Medicated Body Cleanse." Since its launch,

Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. presented this at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Taste and Smell Research in 2017.
Test Method: The sweet scent in body odor was analyzed and identified using HSS-GC/MS, revealing it to be lactone C10/lactone C11. The concentrations of lactone C10/lactone C11 in body odor were measured for each age group, and the sum of these values was graphed. (n=50, conducted by Rohto Research Institute)
