Rohto has revised the standards for its unique “R・eco” mark

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) has designated "Contributing to a sustainable global environment" as one of its priority material issues in its business activities. While the company has long been developing products with low environmental impact and has communicated its commitment to environmentally friendly products to customers by displaying its unique “R・eco” mark it has now revised its standards. Moving forward, the company will strive for even higher levels in accordance with environmental changes and the progress of its initiatives.
At Rohto Pharmaceutical, we place great importance on environmental considerations in our product development. Products that meet certain standards are marked with our unique "R・eco" symbol, making it easy to see at a glance that they are eco-friendly. To further reduce our environmental impact, we have reviewed our criteria and standards and improved our operational procedures.
We will develop products that have a lower environmental impact and contribute to the future, and by displaying “R・eco” mark we will communicate our efforts to customers in an easy-to-understand way, thereby promoting efforts to reduce our environmental impact together with customers who want to purchase products that are as environmentally friendly as possible.
By improving each individual component of our packaging, we are creating a significant overall environmental benefit. We will continue to raise the level of environmental impact reduction and review our standards accordingly.
Please note that these standards are being promoted as an initiative of our company alone and do not apply to the entire group of companies. We will continue to consider environmental considerations for the entire group, taking into account the types of businesses we operate in and the laws and regulations of each country.
What is “R・eco” mark?
Products that are environmentally friendly display “R・eco” mark on the product packaging. "R" represents people and "O" represents the Earth, and this environmental mark was established by Rohto Pharmaceutical with the wish that through their activities the health of the Earth will improve and people will become happier.
