Iga City and ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Ltd. Conclude Comprehensive Partnership Agreement
– Collaboration Towards Realizing a Well-being Society Where Every Individual Shines –

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto, hereinafter "Rohto Pharmaceutical") has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Iga City, Mie Prefecture (Mayor: Sakae Okamoto, hereinafter "Iga City"). Through this agreement, we will contribute to creating a well-being-oriented community by addressing various regional issues, improving the well-being of residents, and revitalizing the region through measures such as promoting the health of local residents.
Contents of the agreement
- Matters concerning health promotion and sports promotion
- Matters related to supporting the next generation, such as education and food education.
- Matters related to the realization of a sustainable society, including environmental considerations.
- Matters concerning the promotion of the city's industries
- Other matters related to improving citizen services and revitalizing the community.
Upon signing the agreement
Since our founding in 1899, we have developed our business primarily in the fields of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals and skincare. In recent years, we have adopted the group management vision "Connect for Well-being" for 2030, and in order to realize a well-being society, we are connecting with various people, businesses, and partners, and venturing into businesses such as food and Regenerative medicine, in addition to our existing businesses. Furthermore, in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, the Ueno Techno Center began operations in 1999, producing OTC pharmaceuticals such as eye drops like V ROHTO PREMIUM, as well as skincare products such as Hada Labo Gokujun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion, and functioning as a mother factory that serves as a base for quality control and logistics.
Meanwhile, in Iga City, in order to realize "Iga City where people shine and the community shines," various policies are being implemented based on the fundamental principles of urban development: "creating a self-governance system where citizens take the lead and the unique characteristics of the region are utilized," "creating a sustainable and harmonious community," and "creating a creative community through exchange and cooperation."

By concluding this agreement and collaborating with Iga City, we will promote further health-enhancing measures in Iga City by providing programs and content that enable people to shine, and will also promote activities to realize a well-being society.
