Rohto establishes the "Rohto Children's Dream Fund"
to address social issues surrounding children.

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) has established the "Rohto Children's Dream Fund" in collaboration with the specified non-profit organization Peace Winds Japan (Headquarters: Jinsekikogen-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture, Representative Director: Kensuke Onishi). This fund will provide support to organizations working to solve and improve social issues surrounding children.
Our company has long been committed to various activities with a long-term perspective toward realizing a well-being society. We aim to create a society where all children who will bear the future of Japan can have dreams and hopes, regardless of their environmental or economic circumstances.
Background
Social issues surrounding children, such as poverty, educational inequality, abuse, bullying, and isolation, are becoming more diverse and serious, and measures to improve them are necessary for the future of Japan. To support organizations that are working to address these social issues and prevent children's dreams and future options from being limited by the environmental factors in which they find themselves, we have established the "Rohto Children's Dream Fund."
How to operate
The Rohto Children's Dream Fund Grant Office will be established within the specified non-profit organization Peace Winds Japan. The office will solicit applications from organizations seeking grants, select 5 to 10 organizations, and provide support through these recipient organizations.
Projects eligible for grants
This program targets organizations (up to high school age / activities within Japan) that support children facing difficulties due to economic circumstances, environmental factors, or other reasons, helping them to pursue their dreams.
Grant amount and number of organizations expected to receive grants
Grant amount: 3 million to 10 million yen per organization
Number of organizations to be selected: Approximately 5-10 organizations
About Peace Winds Japan, a specified non-profit organization
Peace Winds Japan was established in 1996 as an international cooperation NGO that provides support to people both at home and abroad who are affected by humanitarian crises and livelihood crises caused by natural disasters or man-made factors such as conflict and poverty, and has since been active in 39 countries around the world. The organization also works to support children both at home and abroad, such as through the "Study in America" program, which encourages children from orphanages to study abroad, and is committed to a wide range of activities aimed at resolving social problems.
