The new landmark in Umeda, the symbolic
large roof event space at Umeda Kita Park, has been named "Rohto Heart Square Umeda"
- a place where people can gather, meet, and co-create new value.

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) has joined the "GRAND GREEN OSAKA *1" Umeda 2nd District Development Project as a Premier Partner of the "MIDORI Partner" corporate collaboration program, which promotes the activities of this project, and has acquired naming rights. As a result, we are pleased to announce that the name of the large roofed event space *2, a symbol of Umeda Park, will be "Rohto Heart Square Umeda" for a period of five years from September 6, 2024.
We will support this initiative so that the heart of Osaka becomes a place where diverse people can gather, meet, and leverage each other's individuality, co-create new value, and serve as a platform for disseminating information toward the realization of global well-being.
*1: This is a large-scale mixed-use development project that will develop Umeda Park, an urban park boasting an area of approximately 45,000 square meters, as well as offices, a hotel, commercial facilities, core functional facilities, and residential housing in front of JR Osaka Station, the largest terminal station in western Japan.
*2: Located within Umeda Park, this is an all-weather event space of approximately 1,500 square meters with a 13-meter-high roof, capable of hosting a variety of events. Designed by the architectural unit "SANAA" consisting of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, the facility is characterized by its large, gently curving roof that blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings of the park.

Name: ROHTO HEART SQUARE UMEKITA
*Grand Green Osaka is a public-private partnership project undertaken by a joint venture of nine companies, led by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, and the Urban Renaissance Agency.
*The designated manager of Umeda Park is "Umeda MMO, a general incorporated association," which is responsible for the park management of Umeda Park and the overall area management of Grand Green Osaka. The contract regarding MIDORI Partnership, including naming rights, has been concluded between the association and our company.
*Grand Green Osaka is scheduled to have a preliminary opening on September 6, 2024, with the full opening planned for fiscal year 2027.
Regarding the naming
Since our founding in Osaka in 1899, we have addressed the social challenges of the time, developing our business primarily in the fields of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals and skincare, focusing on addressing our customers' concerns. In recent years, we have adopted the group management vision "Connect for Well-being" for 2030, and in order to realize a well-being society, we are connecting with various people, businesses, and partners, and venturing into businesses such as food and Regenerative medicine, in addition to our existing businesses. Furthermore, in 2024, our 125th anniversary, we newly established our corporate slogan, "Moving the Heart" We have renewed our commitment to continuing to empathize with people's feelings and passionately address social challenges in order to realize well-being worldwide.
Grand Green Osaka aims to create a vibrant urban environment centered around a park, fostering interaction among people and generating diverse values and driving innovation, all based on the values of "sustainability" and "well-being."
