ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Masafumi Sugimoto) has opened a research lab and office at the "Future Medical R&D Center" within "Nakanoshima Qross (International Hub for Future Medical Care), which opened in June 2024," and we are pleased to announce that we have been selected for the "Osaka Prefecture Future Medical Qrossover Project Grant" from Osaka Prefecture.

Development of high-performance secretome (extracellular secretion) preparations originating from Nakanoshima Qross, and development of preparation devices and technologies to make regenerative Regenerative medicine more accessible, for the realization of a future society where Regenerative medicine is more readily available.

Background and purpose of participation

Our company, guided by ROHTO Group Comprehensive Management Vision 2030, "Connect for Well-being," has expanded its business into Regenerative medicine and food, undertaking various initiatives that contribute to people's well-being, from advanced medical care and prevention/prevention of illness to daily health. In Regenerative medicine, we have been working to deliver Regenerative medicine as a new treatment option to patients who are suffering because there are no appropriate treatments available, with the statement "Making Regenerative medicine more accessible and easier to use" as our business statement. Since June 2024, we have been participating in "Nakanoshima Qross," and together with medical institutions, universities, research institutions, and related companies, we are working toward social implementation in both clinical research and industrialization.
Secretomes are various bioactive substances (cytokines, growth factors, exosomes, etc.) secreted by cells, and are attracting attention as one of the next-generation technologies in Regenerative medicine. By developing secretome preparations, we will expand the range of diseases that can be treated. Furthermore, by developing a device that allows for sterile and easy cell preparation, we will contribute to making Regenerative medicine available at more facilities.
Our company aims to deliver Regenerative medicine to more people by making full use of the collaborative environment of Nakanoshima Qross, which brings together industry, government, academia, and medical facilities, and by accelerating the development of the products mentioned above.
