ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Masafumi Sugimoto) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a capital and business alliance with Doctors Choice Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Akio Yamamoto; hereinafter referred to as "Doctors Choice"), which develops and contract manufactures functional materials in a wide range of fields including food and cosmetics, effective January 24th.
Background and Aims
Our company's management vision is "Connect for Well-being," and with the desire to support the health and happiness of people around the world, we have been working towards realizing well-being in various fields, including not only healthcare but also food, community, and health and productivity management.
Doctors Choice is a company that aims to create a vibrant, safe, and people-friendly society by developing products that maximize the inherent "health of mind and body" that humans possess. We are engaged in joint research and development of materials with many universities, research institutions, and medical institutions, as well as contract manufacturing in a wide range of fields. We seek out highly functional and reliable materials from around the world and provide superior quality products with our unique processing technology.
The two companies will disclose their respective technologies, know-how, and ideas, particularly in the fields of skincare and cosmetics, and supplements and functional foods. By combining these, they will jointly promote research and development of new products and production technologies, raw material supply, manufacturing, and sales, aiming to increase profits, enhance corporate value, and contribute to the realization of a healthy and well-being society.
