ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) will launch a new product, "Senobic Performance UP Mixed Berry Yogurt Flavor <Chewable Tablets>", from its "Senobic" brand, which was developed based on research into bones during the growth period, on March 13, 2025 (Thursday) at the Rohto online shop.
This product is a nutritional supplement containing calcium, vitamin D, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin B6, which are essential for growth. It also contains Bonepep, Oligomil®, GABA, lactic acid bacteria, lutein, citric acid, palatinose, and other ingredients, for a total of 16 ingredients that support the growth of children. Despite containing so many ingredients, it is a chewable type that can be easily taken without water, making it convenient to consume daily. It is recommended for those who want to get nutrients quickly and easily, or who want to get nutrients while out and about, such as at extracurricular activities. This is a new proposal for children who want to work hard at building their bodies, exercising, and studying, even amidst busy schedules, and for parents who want to support their efforts. Through "Senobic," we will support the well-being of the next generation of children.
Product launch background
In 2007, we launched the growth-supporting beverage "Senobic" based on our desire to "create products that support children's growth" in response to the many concerns we received from customers who had children and were troubled by their likes and dislikes about food. Since then, over the past 15 years, we have continued our research on nutritional supplements and bones necessary for growth, and have continued to offer a variety of products under the "Senobic" brand, with cumulative sales of the series topping 25 million units! note 1 In January 2024, we will introduce a new brand with enhanced nutrition (V.C. and V.B. as nutritional ingredients of food with nutrient function claims). 6 The Senobic Performance UP Series has been launched as a new product (with the addition of the new "Performance UP" series, which has improved performance compared to the previous product).
The nutritional intake of growing children in Japan is inadequate, with calcium, vitamin C, and several other nutrients falling below recommended levels. note 2 (supplementary information) On the one hand, the number of working people is increasing. On the other hand, the increase in the number of dual-earners *3 It is not easy to control the nutritional requirements for children's growth with only daily meals, as children tend to lead irregular lifestyles, juggling school and school lessons, and so on.
