Poverty, educational inequality, abuse, bullying, isolation—social issues surrounding children are becoming more diverse and serious. To ensure that the environmental factors in which children find themselves do not limit their dreams and future options, Peace Winds, with the support of ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., will implement a grant program for organizations working to solve and improve social issues surrounding children.
In the grant application process, we established two application categories with different grant amounts and solicited applications from organizations across the country that are addressing and working to resolve the increasingly diverse and serious social issues surrounding children.
In selecting grant recipients, we prioritized projects that support children in pursuing their dreams, ensuring that environmental factors do not limit their dreams or future options. We selected projects based on the following criteria: ① analysis of current challenges, ③ feasibility and sustainability of goals, ④ unique appeal of the project, and ⑤ appropriateness of budget design.
Through this grant program, we aim to eliminate all forms of inequality among children and support a future where they can continue to pursue their dreams.
Comments from the Rohto Children's Dream Fund Selection Committee
-
Daigo Sato (Professor, Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Musashino University)
This year, we received applications from many organizations for the "Rohto Children's Dream Fund." All of them were wonderful activities that genuinely support the future of children and encourage their dreams. That's why the selection process was so difficult, right up to the very end.
We will wholeheartedly support the organizations selected this time, hoping that their efforts will accelerate even further and that they can bring smiles to the faces of as many children as possible!

Chie Hirao (Director, Fundrex Co., Ltd.)
All of the programs that made it to the final selection were filled with ideas and passion from people who face the realities of children on a daily basis, and they were all programs that we would like to see exist in this society and continue to exist. Among them, we made it a point to consider whether the program could bring about change not only for the children themselves, but also for the environment and society surrounding them.
I am deeply encouraged to know that there are adults who are seriously working towards the goal of enabling children to freely pursue their dreams. I hope that your activities will continue to expand the possibilities for children.

Masae Yamanaka (Director, ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.)
We are grateful for the numerous applications we received from various organizations for the Rohto Children's Dream Fund. We understand that each organization is sincerely committed to the future of children.
Among the various proposals, we prioritized factors such as effectiveness, sustainability, feasibility, and potential for future expansion when making our selections. We hope this fund will help realize the dreams of many more children who will shape the future of our planet.

Hyung-Sik Lee (Representative Director, Certified Nonprofit Organization Learning for All)
The challenges surrounding children are becoming more complex year by year, and the forms of support are also diversifying. I myself, working on the front lines of support, face these difficulties every day. This review process allowed me to learn a great deal and gain hope by witnessing the efforts of organizations that support children daily, while listening attentively to their voices and needs. I hope that each and every child will receive reliable support as they take their first steps.
