Exhibition Overview and Features
This exhibition will allow you to "learn about, experience, and take action" on cutting-edge eye care. By connecting science with consumers and providing a space to access the latest findings, we will create opportunities for learning and taking care of your own health.
1. Stage Content
- Through a cross-talk between experts and Rohto employees, this program clearly explains how research findings connect to real life. You'll gain insight into the cutting edge of efforts toward social implementation based on the legacy of the World Expo.
- This edutainment program offers interactive content such as quizzes about eye care and trivia about eye health, making it fun for parents and children to learn together.
- Fujitsu and Rohto Pharmaceutical announce collaborative project: "POCOME" developed under the theme "Seeing is Feeling" – a future product that connects to eye health and well-being.
2. Booth Exhibition
- A special opportunity to experience a self-eye check (an experience that estimates your "eye age *" from a facial photograph), which is usually only available at the eye care booth inside the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. From measurement to awareness, it can be a starting point for early care.
*The apparent age is estimated by analyzing the condition of the surface of the eye and the skin surface around the eye from image data.
- This exhibit introduces the algae business being conducted on Kumejima Island and showcases experiments in extracting pigments from algae. A limited quantity of blue soda, made with health-conscious plant-based ingredients such as rutin and ingredients from Osaka, and utilizing the blue color derived from algae, will be on sale.
- Experience measuring your intake of vegetables (carotenoids), which are important for eye and skin health. (Veggie Meter / LLC Japan Co., Ltd.)
What is ROHTO Healthcare DAY?
"ROHTO Healthcare DAY" is an interactive exhibition that embodies our desire to create a world of well-being. From June 9th to 11th, 2025, we held a three-day event covering a wide range of themes including "Skincare & UV Care," "Eye Care," and "Agriculture & Food," which was a great success. This time, we focused on visual problems such as eye strain and dry eyes, which have become a social issue in recent years due to prolonged use of digital devices and increased indoor living. With Eye Care Day on October 10th approaching, the importance of cross-generational care, from children to the elderly, is increasing, and efforts from a preventative and pre-disease perspective are required.
This event addresses the social issues surrounding the world and offers a variety of learning opportunities and experiences, including cross-talks between experts and employees, self-eye check experiences, and interactive quizzes for attendees. Furthermore, it provides content that will inspire hope for the future through experiences with new technologies predicted to be feasible in the near future.
