ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Hidetoshi Segi) has endorsed the "Let's Eat Vegetables Campaign" led by Kagome Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Satoshi Yamaguchi, hereinafter referred to as Kagome) and is working together to promote vegetable consumption. As a joint project with its group company Rohto Wellcourt Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Masanori Kumazawa, hereinafter referred to as Rohto Wellcourt) and Kagome, in honor of October 10th being "Eye Care Day" and "Tomato Day," they will be offering "Omurice that Energizes the Eyes" with colorful vegetables for two weeks, from Friday, October 10th to Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the Cafe & Restaurant ROHTO RECIPE Umeda NU Chayamachi Plus store.

This omelet rice is a feast for the eyes, with its vibrant colors and the rich pigments of the vegetables used. It features the beta-carotene in carrots, the lutein in broccoli, and other nutrients, while the yellow of the eggs from chickens raised on feed supplemented with lutein truly shines through. The surface is adorned with a vibrant red using the familiar Kagome tomato ketchup.
This menu includes omurice, deli items, soup, and tomato juice, which together provide the daily recommended intake of 350g of vegetables *1. You can also experience the "Veggie Check®" measurement at the store, which estimates your vegetable intake simply by placing your palm on it.

Uses "Recipe Carefully Selected Gourmet Eggs" developed by MEC Foods Co., Ltd.
"Recipe" eggs contain more lutein, an essential nutrient for maintaining eye health, than conventional eggs *2. After approximately three years of research, we developed a product unlike anything previously seen in the egg industry, and in the process, we focused on lutein as an essential nutrient for all generations, especially for modern people who overuse their eyes with computers and smartphones. ROHTO RECIPE, a restaurant directly operated by Rohto Pharmaceutical, a leading company in eye care, uses these lutein-rich "Recipe" eggs.

This lunch set from ROHTO RECIPE includes three seasonal deli items and a medicinal soup whose ingredients change every two weeks (according to the 24 solar terms). By consuming the soup first, we are incorporating the medicinal principles of warming the stomach and intestines.

During this period, ROHTO RECIPE stores will set up display corners for eye care supplements and other products to raise awareness about eye care.

This project is a joint initiative by Kagome, which is running the "Let's Eat Vegetables Campaign" to promote vegetable consumption, Rohto Pharmaceutical, a company that supports this campaign, and Rohto Wellcourt, which operates ROHTO RECIPE.
Eat Your Vegetables Campaign
A national survey has revealed that many people living in Japan have not been able to meet the target daily vegetable intake of 350g *1 over the past 10 years *3. In order to achieve this major goal, since 2020, Kagome Co., Ltd. has been working daily to change the awareness and behavior of each individual regarding vegetable intake, using the slogan "Let's eat vegetables."
