ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Hidetoshi Segi) is pleased to announce that it has been certified as a "Food Education Excellent Corporation 2026" under the "Food Education Excellent Corporation Recognition System" established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2025, in recognition of its proactive efforts in implementing food education activities for its employees.

health and productivity management initiatives through food

Since our founding, we have delivered products and services related to beauty and health to people around the world. Currently, under ROHTO Group Comprehensive Management Vision 2030, "Connect for Well-being," we are expanding our business from the healthcare field to the food sector. Furthermore, as a company that has long been engaged in "health," we have undertaken various initiatives to ensure that our employees, who support the foundation of our business, are healthy in both mind and body and can approach their daily work with passion (job satisfaction and a sense of purpose).
In 2021, we established eight health indicators that form the foundation of health, and then in 2025, we added new indicators that contribute to improving mindset, bringing the total to 12 indicators. We are committed to health and productivity management with the aim of enabling each employee to review their daily life and take initiative toward achieving well-being.
For many years, we have been committed to supporting the dietary needs of our employees, even in our employee cafeterias. At our head office cafeteria in Ikuno-ku, Osaka, we have been working with Shidax Contract Food Service Co., Ltd. to develop health-conscious menus. In February 2024, we revamped our menu and began offering two types of set meals: "Iikoto Lunch" and "Tetsuchan Lunch." "Iikoto Lunch" meets certification standards such as limiting salt intake and including 70g or more of vegetables, and on August 1, 2024, it received the highest rank of three stars (standard: substantial) in Smart Meal certification. In addition, to supplement iron intake, we offer "Tetsuchan Lunch," which always contains 5mg or more of iron, as well as rice made with iron-fortified rice. *1
Furthermore, we utilize our company's original health promotion tool, the "W-UP app," to deliver a quiz-style "health drill" and "health missions" that encourage employees to take healthy actions in their daily lives to all employees every working day. We present a wide range of health themes, including diet, rest, and exercise, providing opportunities that are likely to lead to improved literacy and behavioral change, and striving to promote the health of our employees.
