Rohto Pharmaceutical begins transportation trials of skincare-related products and other goods using its T2 autonomous trucks
– aiming to realize next-generation logistics for building a sustainable supply chain.

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Hidetoshi Segi; hereinafter "Rohto Pharmaceutical") and T2 Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Masatomo Kumabe; hereinafter "T2") will begin a demonstration of transporting Rohto Pharmaceutical's skincare-related products and other items using autonomous trucks on a section of the expressway between the Kansai and Kanto regions starting June 29, 2026.
At Rohto Pharmaceutical, in order to reliably deliver products to our customers, we have been working on various initiatives*1 to address the challenges facing the logistics industry, such as chronic labor shortages and long working hours for drivers, including improving loading rates and joint delivery with other companies.
T2 aims to begin trunk line transportation using Level 4 *2 autonomous trucks from fiscal year 2027 onwards. Since 2024, it has been conducting transportation demonstrations using Level 2 *3 autonomous trucks with companies in a wide variety of industries, and since 2025, it has started "commercial operations" *4, providing regular transportation to companies that have completed the demonstrations.
Rohto Pharmaceutical and T2 will begin a Level 2 autonomous truck transportation demonstration on a section of the expressway between Kansai and Kanto, targeting Rohto Pharmaceutical's skincare-related products, starting June 29, 2026, as detailed below.

Based on the results of this demonstration, Rohto Pharmaceutical will seriously consider using T2 Level 4 autonomous trucks for trunk line transportation services.
