ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Hidetoshi Segi) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") with PharmaBio Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Hitoshi Kusano, hereinafter referred to as "PharmaBio") for the human (allogeneic) adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cell sheet "PAL-222" (hereinafter referred to as "this Development Product") currently under development by PharmaBio.

This product under development is a Regenerative medicine product intended for the treatment of myopic chorioretinal atrophy. Based on the results of the Phase I/IIa clinical trial (PAMyCA trial), PharmaBio plans to proceed with efforts toward obtaining conditional and time-limited approval. If manufacturing and marketing approval for this product is obtained, it will be sold in Japan through our group company, ROHTO NITTEN Co., Ltd.
Under the Rohto Group's comprehensive management vision, "Connect for Well-being & Longevity," our company is engaged in the field of Regenerative medicine in addition to our conventional over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical business.
