Pursuing the value that is sought in cleansing

In recent years, the role expected of cleansers has expanded beyond simply removing makeup and sebum to include pore care *6 and moisturizing, taking into consideration the skin's condition after washing. As a result, there is growing interest in high-value-added products with added functionality.
While respecting the original role of cleansing, we considered how we could incorporate skincare concepts into our cleansing products, not only by improving the cleansing ingredients, but also by applying the knowledge we have gained from years of research on skincare ingredients such as VC *2.
As a new approach that goes beyond mere cleansing, Obagi has applied its accumulated VC (Vitamin C) and technology to cleansing products, creating a formula that allows VC *2 to easily reach the skin from the initial application stage. "Obagi C Serum Cleansing Oil" is born. It offers a new option for those who want to thoroughly remove makeup while also caring for their skin after cleansing.

1. Featuring Japan's first "VC First Technology" *5. Contains a high concentration *1 of Vitamin C *2 in the cleansing formula.

   Incorporating vitamin C (VC) at high concentrations into cleansing formulations presents technical challenges in maintaining formulation stability. Therefore, we have adopted a unique formulation structure that combines an oil phase that blends with makeup and sebum with a serum phase containing VC. The serum phase containing VC is designed to easily come into contact with the skin from the initial stages of application.
   After conducting over 1,000 formulation studies, we have realized our unique cleansing technology, "VC First Technology," which incorporates vitamin C, which had previously been difficult to stably incorporate into cleansing products.

2. Contains 99% serum ingredients *7. A skincare-inspired formula that protects moisture.

   Formulated with 99% carefully selected beauty ingredients, including a high concentration *1 of Vitamin C *2, Vitamin E *8, and Saxifraga stolonifera extract *9. It thoroughly removes makeup and sebum while protecting moisture after washing, leaving skin soft and smooth. This skincare-inspired formula treats cleansing not just as a way to "remove" impurities, but as an integral part of skincare.

3. With its warming design and rich texture, it comfortably removes dirt.

   Featuring a warming formula that gently soothes the skin, it softens the skin and removes not only makeup and sebum, but also old dead skin cells and dirt clogged in pores *10, as well as roughness and dullness *11 on the skin's surface. The rich, serum-like texture spreads comfortably over the skin, leaving it smooth, supple, and radiant *12 with each wash.
