Company-wide initiatives to promote daily health

  • Daily morning exercises (since 1970)

We conduct exercises at the start of work for all employees and at all bases, with the aim of preventing stiff shoulders, back pain, and falls, as well as checking the employee's own health. In addition to radio calisthenics, we also incorporate exercises that focus on stretching and strengthening muscles, and we have designed exercises from scratch that allow employees to move their bodies in a fun, up-tempo, rhythmic manner. We practice a variety of exercises so that employees can always feel refreshed and have fun. This not only helps to check the employee's condition, but also stimulates communication.

  • Physical fitness tests (since 2002)

All employees are subject to physical fitness tests, with the aim of ensuring that 80% of employees have a healthy age < their actual age, providing an opportunity for employees to reassess their own physical fitness every year. In addition, company-wide issues and issues at each location are identified, seminars and exercise measures are planned to address these issues, and improvements are made for the following year. *Number of participants in fiscal 2024: 1,808 people

*Fitness age < actual age is defined as two or more items of physical fitness test results (physical fitness age, walking age, and mental fitness (R)) being younger than actual age.

  • Implementing the "Toko Challenge Goku" walking event to increase individual exercise and promote health

Toco Challenge (8,000 steps a day and 20 minutes of brisk walking) is a walking event that has been held regularly with the aim of establishing exercise habits. This year, the event was combined with learning, with the aim of improving the quality of walking. Employees were organized into teams, primarily by department, to encourage each other and strengthen communication and change behavior.
