has been reborn as art in a public space, arranged by world-renowned pianist Hayato Sumino, and has begun broadcasting as a city time signal
at "Rohto Heart Square Umeda" in Grand Green Osaka.

ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Hidetoshi Segi) will begin broadcasting a song arranged by world-renowned pianist Hayato Kadono as the city's time signal at "Rohto Heart Square Umeda" in Grand Green Osaka starting May 10, 2026. This song is a new piano arrangement by Mr. Kadono of the company's well-known commercial jingle, "Rohto, Rohto, Rohto♪". The melody, beloved across generations, is reborn as a bold and playful sound through Mr. Kadono's unique expression, which blends classical technique with a modern sensibility, and will begin to resonate as a new form of art that will adorn the public space.
Music is deeply connected to people's memories and recollections, and has the power to evoke scenes and emotions in unexpected moments. At Grand Green Osaka, which values "sustainability" and "well-being," the casual moments spent in the park will be elevated into more memorable and impactful experiences through the fusion of expression and lighting by Mr. Kadono, creating a symbolic scene of well-being together.

This song will be broadcast five times a day as a time signal at "Roth Heart Square Umeda" inside Grand Green Osaka.
Grand Green Osaka values sustainability and well-being, and its theme is the "fusion of nature and city" centered around a park. Through the comfortable spatial design that combines "music by Hayato Kadono" and "lighting effects," it provides a moment of well-being in the heart of the city, creating memorable landscapes for each visitor.

Rohto Pharmaceutical Ambassador Hayato Kadono is an artist who, while centered on classical music, transcends genre boundaries and constantly challenges himself to create new forms of expression. His attitude embodies the spirit of "challenge and evolution" that our company champions. In this project, which involves creating a new piano arrangement of the melody that has been familiar in our commercials for many years, Hayato Kadono is behind the concept of "That melody evolves," expressing Rohto Pharmaceutical's corporate stance of continuously challenging itself through music.

Hayato Kadono's Profile
In 2018, she won the PTNA Grand Prix. In 2021, she was a semi-finalist at the International Chopin Competition. In 2025, she won the Leonard Bernstein Prize and, in the same year, became the first person in history to win the Opus Klassik Award 2025 in two categories. She has performed with orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, LA Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. While attending the University of Tokyo, she formed the city soul band "Penthouse." Since 2023, she has been based in New York. In November 2025, she held solo recitals at Carnegie Hall in New York and K Arena Yokohama, both of which were sold out. The K Arena Yokohama performance was recognized by Guinness World Records for "most tickets sold for an indoor solo piano recital." She continues to post on YouTube under the name "Cateen," with over 1.55 million subscribers. In 2024, she signed a contract with Sony Classical and released her world debut album, "Human Universe." The album won the "Classical Album of the Year" award at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. In 2026, they released their latest work, "CHOPIN ORBIT," and held a nationwide tour (16 performances in total), all of which sold out. As an entity that creates connections that transcend borders and generations through music, they are expected to achieve even greater success in the future.
